Hihetetlen egyébként milyen gyorsan telik az idő... Mintha csak tegnap lett volna szeptember, amikor is Hollandiába költöztem, de tény, hogy máris márciust írunk (még ha az időjárási viszontakságok mást is diktálnak).
A harmadik blokkot gyűröm éppen az egyetemen - ami mellesleg úgy néz ki most, mint valamiféle koncentrációs tábor, mert minden létező fát kivágtak és hatalmas építkezésekbe kezdtek -, átlagban heti 15 órám van. 3 kurzust követek: EU állampolgárság, EU jogvédelem és EU közös piac. Mindhármat imádom, sikerült végre olyan órák mellett kikötnöm, amik tényleg lefoglalnak. A tanárokkal is kialakult már egyfajta jó kapcsolat, már személyesen ismernek mindenkit... Csütörtökön le kell adnom a szakdolgozat témámat, ami nem lesz más, mint a rendőrségi és nyomozati együttműködés az EU-ban. Sok érdekes dolog lesz egyébként benne az Europol-tól kezdve az Európai Elfogató Parancsig. Március második hetében kezdődnek a vizsgáim (atya ég, már csak két hét és semmit nem tanultam még) a hónap végére végzem és irány Bécs egy hosszabb lélegzet erejéig.
Mindeközben persze erőssen foglalkoztat, hogy mihhez fogok kezdeni ezen a nyáron? A szakdolgozatom júniusig le kell adnom, tehát marad két hónap üres járat. Mondjuk nem volna rossz, ha beadnám a derekam végre és befejezném a jogi szakvizsgákat otthon, de ehhez egyszerűen nem érzem az indíttatást (valaki győzzön meg, de komolyan hogy nekiálljak a kánikulában!). Kereshetnék egy érdekes szakmai gyakorlatot is Hollandiában vagy Brüsszelben. Pénzt ugyan ritkán fizetnek, de legalább megteheted az első lépéseket a szamár létrán... Nos?
No és akkor a nyaralást még nem is említettem. Ezen a nyáron sem a pénz, sem az idő (pontosabban jobbik felem ideje) nem ad helyet nagyobb utazásnak, így sürgősen találnunk kell egy fiatalos és romantikus helyet 5 napra. Megmondom őszintén, évek óta először... én bizony a Balatonra vágyom.

Lately, I have been having problems with falling asleep (actually, it is 1.00 AM right now:), so I decided to do something useful instead of rolling from one side of the bed to the other in these nights: I will write!!! Yeeep, I will surely do that.
It is unbelievable how time is passing by. It feels like it was yesterday when I moved to the Netherlands, but the truth is that it is already March (even though the the weather conditions did not prove this last week when it was snowing)
I am dealing with the third block at the university (the school year is divided up into 4 blocks) - which sadly enough looks awful at the moment: almost all the trees have been cut down and enormous construction works have started-. I have approximately 15 classes per week as I follow 3 courses: EU citizenship, Judicial protection in the EU and EU internal market. I love each and every one of them, finally I managed to subscribe for classes which I find enriching and interesting. ( not that I did not like the international law and international organizations courses but my present lecturers are simply more pedagogic)
Fortunately, I have managed to built a great student-professor relationship with all of them thanks to the small, specialized classes. Isn't it great?
Thursday is the deadline to hand in my thesis proposal, and after considering all my options I decided to write about the Police and Judicial Cooperation in the EU. (sounds pretty serious, huh?)I will elaborate on the highly debated European Arrest Warrant and discuss Europol, so it seems to be a pretty interesting piece- I hope nobody will fall asleep while reading it:) Specially not my supervisor...
In the second week of March my exam period will start (Gosh, I have not prepared a word, yet) and once I am done with the hard work I will fly to Vienna, Austria. This time, I will stay there a bit longer- I can't wait to spend some more time with my better half and the museums!
In the meantime, I have some concerns with regards to my upcoming summer. I will have to hand in my thesis at the end of June, which means that I will have 2 months from the summer to do ... hmmmm... what exactly? Well, it would not be a waste of time to finally say yes and go on with my BAR exams back in Hungary, but I simply lack any kind of inspiration to do so. ( somebody, convince me that this is what I need to do in the middle of the summer!:)
Looking for a legal internship in the Netherlands or Belgium for the summer could be another prosperus option. You rarely get paid for it, but it still has it values. Anyhow, you need to start working somewhere and do the first steps in your carrier, don't you?
Speaking of summer... The ugly truth is, that in this summer we won't either have the money or the time to go for long vacations therefore we really need to figure out something and find a cheap but romantic gateway for 5 days. To be honest, the first time in a long term, I am dreaming of Hungary, and Lake Balaton.
